The action at Lake Toho has been hot!  The fish have been staging in the grass and feeding up on shad and shiners.  The water temp is approx. 85 degrees, but we are still catching them shallow.

If you are fishing artificial plastic worms a  Zoom Trick Worm in black and blue rigged with a  Bullet Weight Brand 1/4oz weight “ on Berkley 1216 Test and a Bass Pro 3/0 wide gap hook is a guaranteed bet.  First thing in the morning, a blue and chrome Bill Lewis RAT-L trap with a 30lb Power Pro has been very effective.  Make sure to change your retrieve, some days they want it fast, some days you’ll need to slow it down, this will get the trick done!

We have been catching a lot of big fish, the key to our success is to keep moving around.  In the afternoon, buckle down and you will find that you will catch fish throughout the day.  Our average trips are catching up to 40 fish!  The best action has been first thing in the morning until about 10am but a lot of the bigger fish enjoy that afternoon bite.

Good luck out there and enjoy yourself!  If you want to book a charter – give us a call (727) 505-4340 – We would love to put you on the fish and the trip of your life!
